Briefs, Submissions and Media Releases

E-mail Print PDF

COTAPSA has traditionally been consulted by Senior City staff prior to the implementation of any new policies.  COTAPSA’s response generally consists of suggestions and commentary to amend policy in such a way that will benefit our Members.

Occasionally, COTAPSA provides a formal submission to the relevant Committee about a pending change to policies.  In addition to this, COTAPSA may also depute before a Committee about an issue it has determined to be important to its Members.

COTAPSA submits Media Releases to the Media when we feel there is a need for public awareness.

COTAPSA has also submitted letters to various organizations and government agencies and officials when COTAPSA feels their actions affect COTAPSA’s Members.

These formal submissions and deputations have resulted in positive amendments to a number of policies.  These can be seen in this section, with references to the policy in question in the title of the document.
